The children have really been getting better and better at junk modelling. They are coming up with more creative and imaginative ideas each time.
This time I put the children in groups of 4 or five. I told them that the most important thing they had to remember was to work as a team. This would ensure that they made a really terrific castle.
I gave each group a foam board on which to make their castle. The children then spent half an hour each day this week designing, making and painting their castles.
The results were fantastic. Each group created a totally different castle and they all worked really well together collaboratively.
